It is with great sadness that we reflect on the recent passing of Bill Kingsley, a respected colleague, friend and valued member of the UHY International community.
Based in Detroit, Bill was a Partner at UHY LLP and Managing Director of UHY Advisors. He also served as Chair of the firm's International Tax Committee and was an important tax expert link between UHY US and UHY International. Throughout his career, Bill earned a reputation for his deep technical expertise, strategic insight and unwavering commitment to the people and organisations he worked with.
Bill joined the UHY International Board of Directors in October 2023, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in tax advisory, strategic business consulting and international business matters. His contributions to the Board, and to the wider network, were characterised by thoughtful leadership, sound judgement and a collaborative approach that helped strengthen connections across firms and regions.
While Bill's professional accomplishments were significant, it was his personal qualities that left the greatest impression on those who knew him. He was generous with his time, supportive of colleagues and always willing to share his knowledge and experience. His wit, warmth and ability to build meaningful relationships made him a highly regarded figure across the UHY network.
Bill was passionate about helping businesses grow and fostering international collaboration. He believed strongly in the value of global relationships and played an important role in strengthening the connections that make UHY such a distinctive and successful network.
His contribution to UHY International and the impact he had on colleagues, clients and friends around the world will not be forgotten. Bill's legacy will continue to be felt through the relationships he built, the guidance he provided and the positive influence he had on so many people throughout his career.
Bill will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
