UHY International welcomes four new members at May 2007 European regional meeting
At its annual EMEA conference in Rome in May 2007, UHY International, the fourth fastest growing mid-tier accountancy network, welcomed four new member firms to its global network.
The new member firms come from Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden and Tunisia. Each firm presented to the UHY EMEA conference in Rome and received a warm welcome from the assembled members.
Ladislav Hornan, chairman of UHY International, commented, "We have had a lot of interest from firms around the globe wanting to join our network but I wanted to introduce firms who would bring something new and exciting to us. With these four firms I am confident we have achieved that goal. I can see their dynamism and sense of ambition having a massive impact both on the way we operate and, more importantly, on the service we can provide to our clients in these challenging markets."
Ladislav Hornan continued, "What impressed me with all of these firms is their leadership. It is young, technically very sound and totally focused on delivering great client service. More importantly, compared to some of the more established firms we spoke to, they have greater commercial awareness and are better attuned to expansion driven by new business. Putting it bluntly, they are hungry for success and that drives their ambition. They can’t look to old contacts to keep them comfortable, they don’t have them, so winning new clients is critical. It’s an attitude I applaud."
These most recent joiners bring the UHY International network up to 189 offices in 57 countries, with over 5400 staff.
