UHY International global expansion continues at pace
16th May, 2008
Welcomes six new member firms to global network
UHY International, the international accounting network, continues to expand around the world with the announcement of six new member firms in four countries. So far in 2007, thirteen new member firms have joined the network, bringing UHY’s global presence to 190 locations in 66 countries.
The new member firms come from Colombia, Ecuador, and Uruguay in the Americas region, Indonesia in the Asia-Pacific region, and Croatia, where two new firms have joined the network, in Central and Eastern Europe.
John Wolfgang, newly appointed chairman of UHY International, commented,
“One of our priorities is to expand UHY in strategically important emerging markets. These new member firms all demonstrate the vitality of these markets. There is an ever-growing demand for professional advisors with a real understanding of the issues facing mid size growth businesses, either native to those markets or entering them. This is the natural client target of UHY member firms."
John Wolfgang added,
“There is a great desire among ambitious businesses in these priority markets to become part of an expanding professional international association such as UHY and they work extremely hard to earn acceptance into our community. Our new Colombian member is a great example of this – four separate firms merged in order to create a single firm that had sufficient size and capability to merit UHY membership. All our new member firms share the same ambition and desire to grow and to service their market – which is why this is such an exciting time for UHY."
These most recent joiners bring the UHY network up to 190 offices in 66 countries, with over 5600 staff.
